Michael F. Pogue-Geile

Michael F. Pogue-Geile is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. He directs the Laboratory for Psychopathology and Behavior Genetics, which investigates genetic and developmental aspects of schizophrenia spectrum disorders using family-based and neurocognitive approaches.

His research examines schizotypy manifestations in high-risk populations, neurodevelopmental pathways to psychosis, and genetic associations with cognitive endophenotypes. Current NIH-funded projects focus on multigenerational multiplex schizophrenia families to identify neurobiological markers of vulnerability.

He has served as President of both the Society for Research in Psychopathology (2010-2011) and the Behavior Genetics Association (2011-2012), reflecting his leadership in interdisciplinary psychopathology research. Current advisees include Christie Musket and Petra Rupert.
