Michael Everett is Professor of Practice and Undergraduate Program Coordinator in Michigan State University's Department of Community Sustainability. With degrees from Olivet College (B.A.), MSU (M.S., Ph.D.), and Michigan teaching certification, his research applies social-psychological theories to conservation education and human dimensions of wildlife/ecosystems.
He coordinates undergraduate programs in Agriculture/Food/Natural Resources Education and teaches courses spanning sustainability, nonprofit management, and youth leadership. His international work includes conservation education programs in South Africa. Awards include the CANR Excellence in Teaching Award (2020).
Dr. Everett actively contributes to FFA leadership events and agricultural education advisory committees while maintaining research on teaching methodologies including flow theory and narrative transportation in learning.
