Michael Enright is an Assistant Professor at San Francisco State University since 2022, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. His research focuses on colloidal nanomaterial systems for sustainable energy solutions, with two primary approaches.
The Enright Research Group investigates photocatalysis to harness sunlight for chemical reactions, enabling renewable fuel generation (e.g., hydrogen gas) and mild-condition synthesis of pharmaceuticals. They also develop luminescent solar concentrators (power windows) for semi-transparent, tinted solar-energy-generating windows in buildings.
