Michael Downer

Michael Downer is a Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin, holding the Professorship in Physics #2. He is a Distinguished Teaching Professor with affiliations in the Center for High Energy Density Physics, Institute for Fusion Studies, and Texas Materials Institute. His research focuses on femtosecond spectroscopy, plasma physics, semiconductor interfaces, and laser-plasma accelerators.
