Michael David Kaminski

Michael David Kaminski is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering Department. He holds concurrent roles at Argonne National Laboratory, including Principal Materials Engineer and Acting Lead for Sensor Initiatives. His research spans nuclear forensics, nano-scale engineering, and advanced materials for CBRN agent separation and decontamination.

Grants & Labs: Leads Argonne’s Nuclear Forensics and Nanoscale Engineering groups. His teams develop magnetic-based separations and sensor systems for defense and medical applications. Collaborates on projects like targeted drug delivery using magnetic nanoparticles.
