Michael D. Minta is a Professor in the Department of Political Science and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. A leading expert on minority political representation, his research examines African American and Latino interests in Congress through oversight mechanisms and interest group advocacy. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan (2005), an M.P.A. from University of Texas at Austin (1993), and an A.B. from Washington University (1991).
