Prof. Michael Coldewey is a Professor of Digital Film Design at the Media Design University of Applied Sciences (MD.H Munich), and previously served as a Professor at the Munich University for Television and Film (HFF München). He holds a Diploma in Graphic Design (1990) and has over three decades of industry experience in animation and visual effects. Coldewey is a founding pioneer of computer animation in Germany, co-founding Munich Animation Film in 1995 and leading his own studio TRIXTER since 1998. His work spans major Hollywood films like Avengers, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel, as well as original IP franchises such as Lilly the Witch. He has held advisory roles with the German Film Fund (DFFF) and FMX Stuttgart conference. His expertise bridges academic teaching, creative storytelling, and cutting-edge VFX technology.
