Michael Chasalow

Michael Chasalow serves as Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Small Business Clinic at the University of Southern California's Gould School of Law, where he teaches Counseling the Start-up Company, Partnerships & Limited Liability Companies, and Business Organizations.

His educational background includes a BA in English and Economics from UC Berkeley, a JD from Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law, and an MBA from UCLA.

Chasalow's research focuses on business venture development, corporate governance structures, and legal frameworks for partnerships/LLCs, with significant contributions to entrepreneurship law, media, entertainment, and technology law sectors. His work bridges theoretical legal principles with practical transactional applications for emerging businesses.

His publications demonstrate consistent expertise in business law education, featuring textbooks that systematize complex corporate governance concepts through practical frameworks applicable to both classroom instruction and real-world legal practice.

He founded ARI Consulting Group in 1993 to deliver integrated business consulting and legal services to startup enterprises, reflecting his commitment to practical legal education and entrepreneurial support.
