Michael Biercuk

Michael Biercuk is a Professor and Director of the Quantum Control Laboratory at the University of Sydney. He holds a dual role as founder and CEO of Q-CTRL, a quantum technology company. His academic work focuses on quantum control, quantum firmware, and trapped ion systems, with applications in quantum computing, quantum metrology, and quantum simulation. Biercuk earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master's and PhD from Harvard University. He has held research fellowships at NIST Boulder and advised agencies like DARPA.
