Michael A. Scharf

Michael A. Scharf, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). He serves as Psychiatrist-in-Chief at URMC Golisano Children’s Hospital and Chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. A dedicated educator, he also directs Psychiatry Graduate Medical Education at URMC.

His research spans psychopharmacology in adolescent medicine and behavioral interventions, particularly in digital media addiction cases. Awards include multiple recognitions for teaching excellence and humanitarianism.
