Michael A. Flower is the David Magie '97 Class of 1897 Professor of Classics at Princeton University. His research focuses on Greek religion, historical writing, and social/political history, with a focus on integrating methodologies from modern history, anthropology of religion, and literary criticism. He is currently working on a book analyzing fictionality in Classical Greek historical narratives, exploring narrative techniques like plot, dialogue, and action through modern interdisciplinary frameworks.
As an affiliated faculty member of the Humanities Council, he contributes to interdisciplinary humanities initiatives.
