Michał Chojecki

Michał Chojecki serves as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he has taught since 2009. Initially assistant in Professor Paweł Nowak's Painting Studio (2009-2018), he now leads the 1st Drawing and Painting Studio for first and second-year students.

His academic background includes:

• Graduation from Faculty of Graphic Arts, Warsaw (2004-2009) with Rector's Distinction
• PhD awarded in 2015 for thesis "What Matters Really"

Chojecki's practice centers on artistic publications, specializing in handmade art books and zines through experimental bookbinding, screen printing, and risography. His work bridges craft techniques with contemporary visual expression, emphasizing tactile publishing formats and niche graphic design.

Founder of Oficyna Peryferie publishing house (2014), he produces experimental publications including the manual "How to Make a Book?" and artbooks like "A New Map of Africa" and "No Negotiations," advancing alternative publishing models within academic and independent art spheres.
