Miao David Chunyu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he has taught since 2012. He earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from University at Albany (SUNY-Albany), a B.E. in Engineering Economics from Tianjin University, China, and a B.A. in English from Tianjin University, China, followed by postdoctoral research at Brown University.
- Research focuses on social demography, urban sociology, race and ethnicity, and immigration studies.
- Teaches courses: Social Statistics, Research Methods, Sociology of Immigration, Introduction to Sociology, and Urban Sociology (SOC 356).
