Mia Stenbro Lorenzen is a Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Aalborg University, Denmark. Her research focuses on immigrant children’s association participation in Western Europe, integrating political sociology, civil society dynamics, and digitalization studies. She holds an MSc (2022) and BSc (2020) in Sociology from Aalborg University.

Research Interests: Lorenzen examines how social and ethnic background influences civic engagement, particularly for immigrant populations. Her work spans themes like digital democracy, AI regulation, social inequality, and the role of cultural legacies in integration. She employs quantitative methods and collaborates with institutions like the Digital Democracy Centre.
Awards: Recipient of the ECSR Visitor Grant (2025/2026), supporting interdisciplinary research collaborations.
