Mia Cirkveni is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Osijek, where she teaches Business English at undergraduate and graduate levels. She obtained her PhD in 2021 with a dissertation on career adaptability and entrepreneurial intentions. Her academic work spans linguistics, professional foreign language training, and didactics.

Her research focuses on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), entrepreneurial education, and language learning strategies, particularly during crises like the pandemic. Recent publications explore emotional regulation in careers, cross-cultural employer expectations, and the role of social media in language acquisition.
She actively participates in international seminars and is a member of the Croatian Association of LSP Teachers, HUPE, and UniCollaboration. Her projects include enhancing intercultural competencies through COIL practices in business language courses.
