Mesut KINACI

Mesut KINACI is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ancient History at Süleyman Demirel University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He specializes in the historical geography of the Pontos Region (Black Sea), ancient rivers, and Hellenistic period political history. His academic journey includes a doctorate in Ancient History from Ankara University (2016), an MA in History from Süleyman Demirel University (2012), and undergraduate studies at the same institution.

His research interests focus on Ancient History, particularly the Pontos Region, Historical Geography, Hellenistic Period political structures, and ancient rivers in historical sources. KINACI's work demonstrates deep engagement with primary ancient texts, especially analyzing Pseudo-Plutarch's writings on rivers and examining the historical geography of the Black Sea region.
