Mesut KAÇAN

Mesut KAÇAN is a Professor at Beykent University's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Chemical Engineering (since 2021). Previously, he served as a Professor (2014-2021), Associate Professor (2007-2014), Assistant Professor (1993-2007), and Research Assistant (1988-1993) at Trakya University's Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry.

• Research Focus: Organic chemistry, catalysis, metal complexes, heterocyclic synthesis, oxidative reactions, and thermal analysis.
• Key Contributions: Developed novel synthesis methods for heterocyclic compounds, IBX-based oxidation protocols, and catalytic systems involving metal-ligand complexes.
• Publications: Authored/co-authored SCI/SCI-Expanded indexed articles on topics including furo[3,4-d]pyrimidines, Schiff base complexes, and benzylamide synthesis.
