Mervi Pantti is a Professor in Media and Communication Studies at the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Social Sciences. She is affiliated with the Helsinki Inequality Initiative (INEQ) and serves as a supervisor for the Doctoral Programme in Social Sciences. Her research focuses on media’s role in reconfiguring public spheres, crisis/conflict reporting, digital communication, and the moral implications of mediated emotions.
