Mert Pekşen

Dr. Mert Pekşen is a social and political geographer affiliated with the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) and the Institute of Geography at the University of Osnabrück since 2021. His work bridges critical geography, migration studies, and legal analysis, focusing on border regimes, refugee governance, and spatial manifestations of racism. He contributes to collaborative projects like the DeZIM initiative 'Social Spaces of Migration' (GeRäuMig) and serves as deputy coordinator for the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership EuMIGS.
