Maria Consuelo Flores Rojas is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at the University of Osnabrück. She holds an M.A. in International Migration and Intercultural Relations from the same university.

Her research focuses on racism critique, queer theory, and postcolonial/decolonial subjectivation. Her dissertation project "Expectations in Confrontation" analyzes how refugee-background elderly care workers in Germany navigate socio-cultural expectations in the labor market, questioning access and inclusion mechanisms in migration regimes.
She has been affiliated with IMIS since December 2020 and previously participated in the doctoral college "Migrationsgesellschaftliche Grenzformationen" (2017-2020). Her work intersects migration studies with critical theories of race, gender, and labor.
