Prof. Merlin Schaeffer is a Professor and Head of Studies in the Department of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. His research focuses on migration, ethno-racial discrimination, and social cohesion, employing quantitative methods. Previously, he held roles at the University of Cologne, Karslruhe Institute of Technology, and WZB Berlin Social Science Center.

His publications address topics like vaccination prioritization during crises and the impact of neighborhood infrastructures on immigrant well-being.
