Merlin Donald is Professor Emeritus in Psychology at Queen's University, specializing in cognitive neuroscience and human cognitive evolution. His groundbreaking work includes the books Origins of the Modern Mind and A Mind So Rare, which propose a brain-culture symbiosis theory of human cognition. His research examines how cultural networks shape cognitive development and the evolutionary trajectory of human consciousness.
