Meri Larjavaara

Meri Larjavaara is Professor of French at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland, and holds the title of docent (adjunct professor) at the University of Helsinki and Tampere University. Her research focuses on French linguistics, particularly semantic transitivity, syntax-semantics interfaces, and discourse analysis. She serves as editor for Romance languages at the journal Neuphilologische Mitteilungen.

Her work explores how contextual factors influence grammatical variation, with a special interest in the relationship between textual genres and linguistic structures.
