Meredithe McNamara

Dr. Meredithe McNamara is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Affiliate Faculty at the Yale Institute for Global Health, specializing in Adolescent Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She oversees clinical care at Fair Haven Community Health Center and Yale-affiliated subspecialty sites, focusing on youth aged 11–25 experiencing complex trauma and high-risk social situations. Her work emphasizes trauma-informed systems, strengths-based communication, and global health initiatives in East Africa, particularly Uganda.

• Education: MD and MS from Emory University (2013), residency at University of Chicago (2016), fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at University of Illinois-Chicago (2021).
• Research: Prioritizes improving adolescent healthcare access, combating misinformation in gender-affirming care policies, and implementing curricula in low-resource settings.
