Meredith Marchioni serves as Associate Professor of Environmental and Cultural Studies at Alaska Pacific University (APU) in Anchorage, Alaska, where she integrates field research into her teaching to prepare students for Alaska-focused environmental careers.

- MA in Applied Anthropology from American University
- BA in Behavioral Science from Drew University
Her research centers on ensuring Alaska fisheries resilience through direct collaboration with coastal communities across Mexico, England, and Alaska—including extensive work with Alaska Native groups. She investigates how cultural practices and environmental systems co-evolve amid climactic changes, documenting innovative adaptations in fishing and hunting traditions as ecosystems transform.
