Meredith MacGregor is an Assistant Professor at the William H. Miller III Department of Physics & Astronomy, Johns Hopkins University. She previously held positions at the University of Colorado Boulder (2020–2023) and the Carnegie Institution for Science (2017–2020). Her research focuses on planetary system formation, exoplanets, and stellar activity, utilizing advanced telescopes like ALMA, JWST, and HST. She leads the Early Star and Planet Evolution Explorer (ESPEX) as Principal Investigator and serves as Deputy PI for the Far-Infrared Spectroscopic Space Telescope (FIRSST).
- Education: PhD in Astrophysics from Harvard University (2017)
Her research group explores planet-forming disks, water distribution in exoplanets, and stellar activity impacts on planetary habitability. She is Co-Chair of NASA's Infrared Science and Technology Integration Group and Next Generation Great Observatories Science Analysis Group.
