Meredith L. Wallace, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She specializes in applying advanced statistical methodologies to sleep health research and psychiatric data analysis. Her work bridges machine learning, clinical trial design, and epidemiological studies.
Dr. Wallace’s research focuses on multidimensional sleep health metrics, leveraging computational methods to predict outcomes like mortality, cognitive decline, and mental health disorders. She leads major grants including an NIA RF1 grant exploring sleep’s role in dementia and depression, and co-leads the NIDA-funded Center for Adolescent Reward, Rhythms, and Sleep.
Her statistical expertise includes cluster analysis, ecological momentary assessment, and methodological frameworks for high-dimensional datasets. She mentors students across disciplines and co-founded the StatsEye Consortium to foster collaborative methodological innovation.
