Meredith Billings

Meredith S. Billings is an Assistant Professor in Higher Education Adult Learning and Organizational Studies at The University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a PhD from the University of Michigan, an MA from the University of Maryland, and a BS from William and Mary.

Her research examines financial and informational barriers to college for underrepresented groups and inequities in higher education funding. Current projects investigate free college programs, tuition plans, and financial aid advising.

Research publications focus on education financing mechanisms, policy analysis, and equity impacts, with recent work examining COVID-19's effect on higher education budgets and promise program implementation.
