Mengyue Xu

Mengyue Xu is a Research Investigator in the Large-scale Integrated Photonics (LSIP) Group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Michigan, since August 2024. She previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University's OxideMEMS Lab (Feb 2023–Aug 2024) and earned her Ph.D. in 2022 from the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies at Sun Yat-sen University.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on

• Thin-film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) Photonics
• Heterogeneous Integration of Photonic Platforms
• Optical Frequency Combs for Precision Systems
• Coherent Transmission for High-Speed Data
• Quantum Photonics and Spin Defects

She has pioneered advancements in TFLN-based electro-optic devices for driverless and ultra-low-power optical communication systems.
