Mengting Li is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Electronic Systems at the Faculty of IT and Design, Aalborg University, Denmark, specializing in antenna engineering and wireless propagation systems. Her work focuses on millimeter-wave communications, over-the-air testing methodologies, and channel modeling for next-generation wireless networks, with significant contributions to 6G development.
Her research spans experimental characterization of wireless channels in complex environments like in-vehicle scenarios and non-anechoic conditions, leveraging virtual array concepts and radio-over-fiber techniques. Key projects include RIS-aided radio localization for smart transportation and multi-band channel characterization across frequency spectrums from sub-6GHz to sub-THz bands.
Analysis of her 23 publications (2021-2025) shows consistent innovation in measurement frameworks, with recent work emphasizing practical implementations for real-world wireless challenges. Her publications in IEEE Transactions and Communications Magazine demonstrate technical leadership in antenna de-embedding, channel sounding, and propagation modeling.
Dr. Li has received the following scientific awards:
- Villum Foundation Postdoc Fellowship (2023)
As Principal Investigator of the Villum Foundation project "RIS-aided radio localization techniques for 6G system", she leads research in channel modeling and positioning algorithms. Her collaborations span industry and academic partners, evidenced by co-authorship with researchers from multiple institutions on experimental validation studies.
She is an active member of Aalborg University's Antennas, Propagation and Millimetre-Wave Systems research group, contributing to experimental facilities for wireless channel characterization and antenna testing in controlled and real-world environments.
