Dr Meng is a Research Fellow at the School of Design, University of Leeds, with expertise in material and polymer science, textile technology, and sustainable functional coatings. Their work spans industrial collaborations and cross-institutional projects.
- Bachelor (1st Class) with Honours in Chemistry with Colour Science, University of Leeds
- PhD in Material Science, University of Leeds
Research focuses on synthesis, characterisation, and optimisation of pressure-sensitive coatings, fluorocarbon-free textile finishes, and bioactive composites for food packaging. Recent projects include waterless textile dyeing, biodegradable sequins, and keratin fibre analysis.
