Dr. Melody Ellis is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University's School of Media & Communication, specializing in creative practice research. She serves as Program Manager for the Bachelor of Media and Communication (Honours) and is a Core Member of the non/fictionLab research group. Her work explores the politics of value and taste, language, psychoanalysis, and intersections of art and writing. Ellis previously worked in arts organizations like The Biennale of Sydney and The Athens Biennale. She leads the Australian Research Council Discovery Project 'Connecting Asia-Pacific Literary Cultures.'
Her research interests span creative methodologies, collaborative writing, and interdisciplinary artistic practices. Ellis’s recent articles focus on cultural exchange, experimental writing, and narrative forms. She supervises research projects addressing topics like artistic collaboration, urban futures, and maternal imagery in poetry.
