Mellissa Gordon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on understanding how at-risk families and communities influence adolescent and young adult developmental outcomes. She integrates Ecological Theory, Critical Race Theory, and Positive Youth Development frameworks to explore protective factors for ethnoracial minority youth. Her work emphasizes statistical methods like multilevel modeling and structural equation modeling to analyze large-scale datasets.
