Melissa J. Marschall is a Professor of Political Science at Rice University and a Faculty Scholar at the Baker Institute Center for the Middle East. Her research focuses on urban politics, education policy, political behavior, and representation in the U.S. and Turkey. She directs the Urban Lab program and teaches courses on urban politics, comparative policy, and research methods. Key affiliations include Rice University's Political Science department and the Baker Institute.
Education: Ph.D. in Political Science from SUNY Stony Brook (2000), M.A. in Political Science from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul (1994).
