Melissa Gibson is an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy and the OTA Program Director at Methodist University's College of Health Sciences & Human Services. She joined in 2022 and holds certifications and licenses in occupational therapy across multiple states.

Her research focuses on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) for amputees, particularly those missing two or more limbs, through the development of assistive devices. She brings 18 years of clinical experience in settings such as acute rehab, home health, and skilled nursing.
