Dr. Melissa Bublitz is the Liz Kramer Professor of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a Professor in the Departments of Civil Society & Community Studies and Consumer Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Human Ecology. Her work bridges consumer behavior, public policy, and well-being, with a focus on food access, health, sustainability, nonprofit marketing, and social innovation. She leads collaborative research teams that engage with community stakeholders to drive societal impact and grassroots change.
Dr. Bublitz holds a PhD in Management Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with an MBA and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Her research interests span the intersection of consumer behavior, public policy, and well-being, with a focus on food access, health and wellness, sustainability, nonprofit marketing, and social innovation. She investigates how consumer choices and organizational strategies can promote equitable communities and sustainable practices, often through partnerships with nonprofits and grassroots initiatives.
