Melissa A. Bledsoe is the Dean of the William H. Darr College of Agriculture at Missouri State University. She holds a PhD in Plant Physiology and Nutrition from the University of Missouri (2010), an MS in Plant Science (2004), and a BS in Horticulture (2002), both from Missouri State University.
Her research focuses on plant mineral nutrition in forages and horticultural crops, seasonal nutrient dynamics of perennial forage grasses, and the effects of management practices on leaf nutrient composition. She also studies nitrogen storage in tall fescue and the impact of species on forage quality.
Bledsoe teaches courses such as Soils Lab, Crop Physiology, and Hydroponic Production Systems, as well as First-Year Foundations. Her work emphasizes practical applications in agriculture and horticulture.
