Melinda Ensinger, Ed.D., is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Education at Hiram College, teaching middle childhood courses. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Gwynedd Mercy University, alongside licensures and endorsements from institutions such as the University of Dayton and Kent State University. Her research interests focus on assessment, classroom management, student self-efficacy, and teacher leadership.
Prior to academia, Dr. Ensinger served as a school principal for five years and taught third-grade and sixth-grade math, social studies, and technology. She is actively involved in the local community as an Executive Preschool Committee Member at Apple Tree Preschool in Garrettsville, OH.
Her professional background includes 15 years in the same school district, where her three grown children were also educated. Outside academia, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, tennis, and pickleball, as well as piano playing, 80s music concerts, and traveling.
