Melih YILAR, Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection since 2015. He holds a PhD in Plant Protection (2014) and Master's in Plant Protection (2007) from Gaziosmanpaşa University, with a BSc in Plant Production (2004). His academic roles include:

- Head of Department of Plant Protection (2018–2021)
His research focuses on Herbology and Phytopathology, particularly:
- Antifungal and bioherbicidal properties of plant extracts
- Allelopathic interactions in agricultural ecosystems
- Chemical composition of essential oils from Salvia and related species
- Organic farming-compatible pest management
- Weed flora surveys in chickpea and sugar beet fields
His recent publications (2022–2024) highlight studies on Salix babylonica, Salvia species, and Peganum harmala, analyzing antifungal mechanisms, allelochemicals, and phytotoxic effects. Collaborative projects with Yusuf Bayar and İzzet Kadıoğlu dominate his output, emphasizing natural products for sustainable agriculture.
