Melanie Finch

Dr. Melanie Finch is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Geosciences at James Cook University (Australia), with prior positions at Monash University and the University of Tübingen (Germany). She holds a PhD from Monash University (2016) and an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018). Her research centers on viscous shear zones' role in strain accommodation, fluid transport in subduction zones, and critical mineral formation via shear-related processes.
