Dr. Meike Walli-Schiek is a Team Leader of the scientific advisors to the director at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI in Karlsruhe, Germany. She holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Development Management from Ruhr Universität-Bochum (RUB) and completed her doctoral thesis on Corporate Regional Responsibility at RUB's Institute of Geography. Her career includes roles as a research associate at RUB (2009–2015) and as manager of Zukunft durch Industrie e.V. in Düsseldorf (2016–2017). At Fraunhofer ISI since 2018, she focuses on innovation, digitalization, AI, sustainability, and future research. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications, emphasizing societal integration of technological advancements.
