Dr. Meihua Qian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Clemson University’s College of Education. She joined Clemson in 2013 and holds dual Ph.D. degrees in Educational Psychology and Inquiry Methodology from Indiana University (2014). Her research and teaching focus on creativity assessment, game-based learning, item response theory (IRT) models, test bias, and machine learning applications in education.

Her work has been published in top-tier journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Creativity Research Journal, and Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Educational Psychology, Theoretical Bases of Instruction, and Advanced Educational Tests and Measurements.
Dr. Qian is affiliated with the CLEaR Lab and contributes to research in measurement invariance, validity, and statistical modeling in educational contexts.
