Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yazıcı is a sociologist specializing in Alevism, migration, and social values at Bingöl University's Department of Social Work under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Born in Elazığ, he holds a PhD from Fırat University (2011) and has been a faculty member since 2012. His research focuses on Anatolian Alevi communities, social change dynamics, and earthquake culture post-2023 disasters. He has authored books like Küreselleşme Çağında Toplumsal Değerler and edited volumes on Alevism. He has supervised 5 graduate students and actively participates in international conferences, publishing widely in peer-reviewed journals.
