Mehmet Ozger

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozger is an Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University, specializing in Hydrology, Coastal Sciences and Engineering, and Water Resources Management. He holds a PhD in Water Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. His research focuses on climate variability, water resource optimization, and environmental modeling. Ozger has led numerous projects including hydrodynamic modeling of Istanbul Strait, flood risk assessments in Rize Province, and artificial wetland systems construction. He has also contributed to international collaborations on wave energy systems and drought prediction. His work frequently employs advanced computational methods like machine learning, fuzzy logic, and GIS-based decision frameworks. Ozger’s expertise is further reflected in his advisory roles for TÜBİTAK projects and executive responsibilities in high-budget engineering initiatives.
