Mehmet Fuat Sener is the Chauncey H. Winters Professor of Economic Thought at Union College, where he has been affiliated since 1999. His research spans International Economics, Economic Growth, and Labor Economics, with a focus on Schumpeterian growth models, intellectual property rights, and globalization.

Sener’s work integrates R&D dynamics, labor market rigidities, and institutional quality into global economic frameworks. His publications address topics like outsourcing-induced wage inequality, rent protection mechanisms, and technological progress in open economies, often employing dynamic general equilibrium modeling.
