Mehmet BALTALI

Mehmet BALTALI is a Professor of Cardiology at Uskudar University's Faculty of Medicine. He holds academic titles including Professor (since 2013), Associate Professor (2003–2013), and Assistant Professor (1998–2003) at Başkent University and Uskudar University. Dr. BALTALI specializes in invasive cardiology, echocardiography, and preventive cardiology, with a focus on metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular risk factors.

Education: Graduated from the University of Vienna's Faculty of Medicine (1987), completed a PhD in Cardiology at Istanbul University (1998), and advanced academic titles at Başkent and Uskudar Universities. He has authored numerous articles on coronary artery disease, postoperative outcomes, and pandemic-era medical practices. His work includes studies on gender differences in cardiac surgery outcomes and the role of echocardiography in predicting atrial fibrillation.

Awards: Recipient of the 2001 Second Place Award in the National Scientific Competition on Metabolic Syndrome X. His research spans international and national peer-reviewed journals, with contributions to anesthesiology, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology.

Teaching: Currently teaches at Uskudar University and has administrative roles in academic course management. He has supervised graduate theses and actively participates in scientific congresses, presenting over 100 contributions internationally and nationally.
