Megumi Stohs Lewis

Megumi Stohs Lewis serves as an Applied Instructor of Strings and Chamber Music at the Adams School of Music and the Arts, co-founding the A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra while maintaining an active international performance career across classical, baroque, contemporary, and rock genres.

Artistic Focus Her work centers on violin and baroque violin performance, with deep specialization in chamber music ensembles, historical period instrument practices, and contemporary commissions through Antico Moderno. She uniquely bridges classical traditions with folk/rock fiddling through collaborations like Jethro Tull tours.

Ensemble Affiliations Current collaborations include Boston Baroque, Les Bostonades, Aurea Ensemble, and Silk Road Ensemble (with Yo-Yo Ma). Past engagements span Radius Ensemble, South Coast Chamber Players, and North Country Chamber Players across Australia, Europe, and Japan.
