Meghan Mattos is an Associate Professor of Nursing at the University of Virginia, specializing in gerontology and cognitive health. She holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and serves as Co-Director of the Virginia Alzheimer's Disease Center Scholars Program.
Her research program focuses on:
- Preventing cognitive decline in rural older adults
- Technology-enabled sleep interventions
- Health disparities in dementia care
Current NIH-funded projects investigate internet-based insomnia interventions to prevent cognitive decline. She serves on editorial boards for Journal of Alzheimer's Disease and Innovation in Aging.
