Meghan C.L. Howey is a Professor of Anthropology and the James H. Hayes and Claire Short Hayes Professor of the Humanities at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). As Director of the Great Bay Archaeological Survey (GBAS), she leads community-engaged, interdisciplinary research focused on deep-time human-environment interactions.

Recent publications highlight her expertise in GIS-based landscape modeling, ritual activity analysis, and settler colonial memory studies. She actively integrates ethnohistoric research, archaeological fieldwork, and tribal collaborations into her work.
