Megan Tusler is an Assistant Instructional Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at The College, University of Chicago. She is also an Affiliate Faculty member at the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture.

- BA in English and Ethnic Studies, Mills College
Research Interests: Comparative ethnic literature, critical race theory, urban space and photography, literary culture, and affect theory. Her dissertation American Snapshot: Urban Space and the Minor Archive examines counter-cultural archiving practices in 20th-century U.S. literature and photography, while her current monograph On Other Loathing explores race and negative affect in ethnic American novels. Two ongoing essay projects trace the literary genealogy of Chicago's kitchenette apartments and analyze 1950s western narratives.

- Newberry Library Ayer Collection of American Indian Studies Fellowship
Teaching & Professional Engagement: Teaches courses on comparative ethnic literature, the American novel, and urbanism. Co-hosts the podcast 'Better Read than Dead: Literature from a Left Perspective.' Member of Faculty Forward/SEIU Local 73, the contingent faculty union at the University of Chicago. Volunteered in the curatorial department at the Chicago History Museum.
